BABY TIME

So, yeah..it's been a while..

I'm pretty sure that close to no one actually reads this blog, as I rarely update it..but the time has come. Because we are having a baby...in 7 weeks!! I cant belive that so much time has passed that I haven't even thought to put it in this blog! Our weddingtracker website got hijacked by spammers, so we might have to use this blog to relay things about the baby...so I thought I would go ahead and start it out by saying that we were expecting! Pretty exciting! Details to follow!!

found!

Prior to when we got married, I had not blogged about a couples shower - hosted by bridesmaid Ashley! I had forgotten my camera, and a disposable camera was there...although it did not resurface until this past week! So...we now have pictures of the couples shower - they are great and can be found here on our website! We really appreciated this shower, hosted at her parents house! Her dad is the best cook and really did everything up right! This shower was just for bridal party and their signifant others..so it was really great to havee a time for everyone to get to know each other! Thanks again, Ashley!

In other news, since another 2-3 months has lapsed...everything is going well. As the seasons are changing..we are realizing all the fun new stuff we "get" to do with our new house. Troy is realizing that there are some advantages to apartment dwelling (i.e. lawn mowing, weed eating, etc). Things are good with both of our work...no changes. I am probably going to be taking a photography class over the summer, which I'm very excited about. Troy is still having a ball with his band, DeepWithin. They should start playing some shows around Little Rock this summer.

oh baby...

*Krishelle is having a baby girl and she is due at the end of July.
*Shannon Slatton (AZD pledge sister and honor party) is getting married June 24. We will be going to Shreveport, LA to wish her well.
*My good friends Carrie Eaton, Jana Ferguson, and Abana Nevens all welcomed new babies into the world between March-April.
*Also, Mollie Teas (house party/friend from graduate school) is pregnant with her first child. They will find out the sex of the baby within a couple weeks).

No More House Hunting!

Everytime I think about updating this blog..about 2 or 3 months pass. So, here's an update! We found a house! We moved in over Thanksgiving (2005). It is in Benton and we absolutely love it! It's so nice to have room to move around in!! We've met a couple of neighbors who are great. It's a great neighborhood. We

had the joy (ahem) of removing wallpaper in the kitchen. If you've ever had to do that, I have genuine sympathy..because it sucks. After a week of battling the wallpaper we painted it to match the scheme of the rest of the house and it looks great! Special thanks to Troy's mom.. she was sick as a dog and over at our house helping everyday!!

Christmas was great..and busy as usual! Me-Ma was here and we had a really great time!

Stacey is doing well and still working at UALR. Her boyfriend, Chris, is in a band (WishTribe) and they are going to LA this month to record a professional demo. Hopefully everything goes great!

Troy is still playing with his band, Deep Within. They just got a new bass player who is really great and seems to complete the band. Hopefully they will continue to do well and get back to playing some shows!

I am still working at rehab and everything is going good. I am actually learning how to cook, believe it or not! Me-Ma says that I'm turning into Martha Stewart. You all know how much I love Martha, so that was a huge compliment ;)

Mom is doing well..she's learning to scrapbook and has transformed one of the spare bedrooms in their house to a regular scrapbook store. It's cute though how she is always on the lookout for cute stuff to use. She goes to a Friday-night-cropping thing at a local scrapbook store and seems to really like it!

Krishelle (my maid of honor) found out she is pregnant..she's about 4 and 1/2 months now and she and her husband Clayton should find out soon what they are having!

Just checking in

Wow..it's been a while since I've written here. Just thought I would update for anyone who checks in on us. I've been soo busy lately that I never have time to update things or work on our website, but I've gotten some ideas from a few other peoples websites and feel inspired. Maybe something will come of it..or not.

Things are pretty well the same here. We are both staying so busy! I suppose the big news now is we are looking for a house. We are trying to stay in our current area..and we've already looked at about 25 or so houses. It's exhausting but we want to find something that is just right for us. I love looking at other couples websites and seeing what they do with their houses (before and after shots)...maybe something miraculous can happen with our house when we find it! Our friends Mollie and Damon recently finished building thier house and it is beautiful!! I can't wait!

Troy is still at Clear Mountain..and working harder than ever. With all of the water needed for Hurricaine Katrina relief, they all have been putting in a lot of hours. He probably works 12-14 hours per day! And then he comes home to a wife who doesn't cook, lol. It's sad really. I'm hoping that I'm like every other new wife, but that would probably be too easy of a cop out. Thats right.. I can't cook... I don't eat red meat, so I sure dont know how to cook that....I swear..if it doesn't microwave...we don't eat it....and thats sad. I need to go to wifeschool if there is such a thing. I'm pretty sure Troy is totally ready to send me to Stepford for a little, ahem, maintenence.

I am still at AR Rehab. Things are changing around there..and I hope that things go well. One of my favorite coworkers is retiring, our boss is leaving, a coworker is stepping up into his place, and we are moving to the other side of Little Rock....all of this is happening within the same week, so needless to say, its been a little stressful. This too shall pass :)

Mom is doing well. She decided that she would try to change a lightbulb on her own in her bedroom..by standing on a 100 year old wobbly old chair. Yes, she fell and has a huge bruise on her tailbone. It's a wonder she didn't break a hip or a leg or something! She has been doing a lot of things with people from her old job here lately and is having a pretty good time. She will be traveling home to stay with Me-Ma for a little while, so pray for her that the trip goes well since she will be alone.

I guess thats it for now...I'll keep everyone posted on the great house hunt!

Love, Karlyn

Yuck...

Just thought that I would post a quick little update...I think that more people are checking in than I thought! I am working on pictures...Ive got about 75 or so posted right now from the wedding.. We've still got a ton left, and I can only post 200 on that site. So....I better either start getting picky, or I'll load them all onto a yahoo album or something. Other than that, we've both been sick! I've had bronchitis for about 3 weeks...Troy has had fluish like symptoms. We're both heavily medicated and praying that it all passes over soon! In addition to that, we've been dealing with a quite obnoxious leak in our apartment that has just recently been repaired...after complaining of water all over the floor for about 2-3 weeks!!! So...that's been tons of fun.

Life goes on I suppose.

Only, it would be best if life didn't start everyday stepping in puddles on the bathroom floor.

We're home!!!

Hello Hello!! We are home from our honeymoon!! Whew, what a week! First off, we want to thank everyone who came to the wedding for making our day WONDERFUL. Everything went off without a hitch and was absolutely beautiful! Perfect weather, unexpected fireworks, awesome vocalists (who blew everyone away, by the way), great food..it just couldnt have gone better! My only complaint was that it went waaay too fast - but I guess every bride says that! I really appreciate everyone who came - you all filled the place up for sure! I just can't tell you all enough just how much you all mean to us and it really meant the world to us that you were there.

With that said, I would like to send out a "missing items" report...I have lost my camera bag somewhere!!! It's black and green -- and I don't care about the bag but I have a full memory disk in there from my rehearsal dinner on Friday night. It is all the pictures that I have of it -- my grandma took a few but they came out really fuzzy. If anyone has seen it pllleeeaassseee let me know - OR if you attended the rehearsal dinner and have ANY pictures, PLEASE send them to me - our address is at the bottom as well as email address! Moving on along....

We got back from our honeymoon on Saturday night. Similar to our wedding, our honeymoon also went without a hitch - no disasters, yeeaah! Only had one flight delay, and only for a few hours. We spent about 14-15 hours in an airport or on a plane on Saturday! For those who don't know, we took a cruise out of Miami to Grand Cayman and Ocho Rios, Jamaica. And it was wonderful, great weather (no rains or hurricaines, lol). It was about 90 degrees the whole time we were there. It was breezy on the ship but still perfect -- not too hot or cold. We swam with stingrays, visited a spot called Hell, played at a turtle farm (got to hold these amazing turtles), and climbed a huge waterfall called Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. And for the record, no we didn't get our hair braided. :)

I took about 200 pictures and some videos of all the places that we visited! I will probably load them into a yahoo photo log this week and link it from our website if anyone wants to see our pictures! I will load wedding pictures directly onto our website, as well as probably open a yahoo site as well. My videographer (http://www.cineastfilms.com ) said that they could probably make a short video for our website...I will have to see if I can post it or not on there.

If anyone has pictures from the wedding that they would like to share, I would LOVE to have anything that you have! (And I mean that...!)

You can email us at Kmoore3433@aol.com or send them via us mail -
Mr. & Mrs. Troy Jay (yeeah, you like that, haha!)
2603 Cyclone
Bryant, Arkansas 72022

I will definitely keep everybody posted when I get pictures back...and I will have the copyright so if anyone wants a picture, they can order them from our website, from Yahoo, or send me an email and I'll print you one! (I've ordered pictures loaded to Yahoo and it was easy, fast, and cheap - and you get the first 10 free!).

Thanks again to everyone for sharing our very important day! You made it WONDERFUL!! It was a long time coming! :)

Wow, we're movin' up!

Well, the bridal editor from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette called me today to let us know that our wedding had been selected to be featured (ahem, in color) in the High Profile section of the Demo-zette! It apparently is based on education, achievements, and honors - wow! So, I have to get her about 5 pages of information and several color pictures of my bridal portriat by the 18th. The Demo-zette typically runs wedding announcements with a 2"x2" block of only the brides face, with about one 7 sentences stating the date, parents, where it was held, and where the couple will reside. Now, apparently we will have quite a bit more to work with! I'm meeting with our photographer tomorrow to see what we can do about my pictures (since my hair was messed up in them!).

Only 25 days left! It just doesn't seem right... things are moving soo quickly - I can't wait to get the day here! I'm not sure who all is reading this - and I will send out information - but due to scheduling conflicts, our rehearsal will be held on Thursday, December 2nd. I know this is probably a HUGE inconvienence - but thats the only way that we could rehearse any of it! It will begin at 5:30 - so I hope all of our attendants can make it. Our rehearsal dinner will still be at Juanits on the 3rd. I will send out information to everyone involved!
